Animating SmartArt in PowerPoint

Animating SmartArt in PowerPoint is a fantastic way of controlling your presentations. Using this method is a great way of focusing attention so that your audience doesn't drift off.

SmartArt is available in PowerPoint 365.

1. First add animation to SmartArt.
2. Click on the Content Placeholder on the right of the screen.
3. Choose effect options.
4. Select the SmartArt animation table.
5. Click the Group Graphic drop-down list.
6. Select One by One.
   (You will see a preview of the animation).
7. Hold Shift & F5 to start the animation from the current slide to view the animation.

The purpose of this is to maintain control of your presentation. This way, when you want to talk about one aspect of the slide, such as the first bullet point, you can focus people's attention on this and hopefully their minds won't be too distracted.
