Using the MID function seems like a simple, easy to use, function. But in order to make it useful, you must use other functions in conjunction with the MID function. In this respect you would need to use the FIND function. (This is in order to locate the position of the commas). You would also use the SUBSTITUTE function to change the second comma into another character. You can then use the Find function to work out where that new, substituted character, is located. You can then use the result of this to work out the third and last argument of the MID function.
