Calculating Between Worksheets in Excel - online IT training Course


How about a summary sheet on which on can total all your figures. This online IT training video will give you an introduction into calculating between various worksheets within your Excel file.

This Excel spreadsheet will deal add up the quarters to get an annual total.

  1. Decide where you want the result so click in Cell B4.
  2. Press "=" on the keyboard.
  3. Using the mouse click on Qtr1 sheet
  4. click on cell F4 where it says 195
  5. Press the "+" key on your keyboard
  6. Click on the Qtr2 Sheet.
  7. Click on cell F4
  8. Press "+" on the keyboard.
  9. Click on the Qtr3 sheet.
  10. Click on cell F4.
  11. Click on Qtr 4 sheet
  12. Click on cell F4
  13. NOW PRESS ENTER ON THE KEYBOARD - DO NOT CLICK ANYWHERE ELSE WITH THE MOUSE.
  14. Your answer is displayed.
  15. Once you have calculated strawberry you can Autofill (or drag) down to fill the rest of the ice cream totals.

Use the if function file for the Tables exercise.

You may have to click on enable editing in Excel to be able to complete the exercise.
