Microsoft Excel 365 PowerPivot Overview

Welcome to this Microsoft 365 Excel PowerPivot courseware. PowerPivot is a free add-in that expands and combines the features and capabilities of PivotTables with advanced calculations. PowerPivot also includes the ability to import and work with large amounts of data from a variety of data sources, both inside and outside Excel. This course is intended to help new PowerPivot users get up to speed on how it works and its feature set. It will cover different features of the interface, techniques for manipulating and visualizing Power Pivot data, how to create PowerPivot reports, the structure of DAX functions, and ways to distribute PowerPivot data.

By the end of this course, users should be comfortable with:

• Navigating the Power Pivot application
• Manipulating Power Pivot data
• Creating Power Pivot data visualisations using DAX functions
• Distributing Power Pivot data using a variety of different file formats

Course Prerequisites:

• Understands the basics of using a Windows-based computer.
• Comfortable with the 365 Excel interface.
• Firm understanding of how Excel works and its purposes.
• Experience with formulas, functions, and PivotTables is strongly recommended.
• No previous experience with Power Pivot is required.
